Energy India is our name and we are based at 37 1 Sarkhel Para Lane in Pobally, within the Howrah district. It’s a quiet enough lane most days, though you get the usual sounds of the neighborhood. We work on energy-related projects from this spot. It’s not a big city office with elevators; it’s more of a local setup where we know everyone by name. Being in Howrah, we deal with the local climate and the pace of life here. Our office at Sarkhel Para Lane is where all the planning and paperwork happens. We have been here for a while and the building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and it’s ours. We spend our time looking at energy equipment or talking to local folks about their needs. There isn't any corporate polish here. We wear regular clothes and drink a lot of tea while we work. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or find something else to do. It’s all part of living and working in this part of West Bengal. We try to be helpful and just do the work that’s expected of us. People know where to find us if they need anything energy-related. We don’t have a website with fancy photos, just this office on the lane. It’s a basic operation but it works for us and the people who come to see us. The bricks of the building have been there for ages, and we plan to stay too.
