ENCRUST DEVELOPERS LLP is located on the ground floor of E-185 in Ramgarh. This is in the 700047 area of Kolkata. Being on the ground floor means we see a lot of what’s happening on the street. People walk by the windows all day long, and we sometimes recognize the regulars who live in the neighborhood. The office itself is pretty basic. We have our desks, some old wooden chairs, and stacks of files that never seem to get smaller. We do development work, so there is always something to look at or some document to sign. It’s not a fancy place with modern art on the walls or anything like that. It’s just where we come to work. The room stays a bit cooler because we are on the ground floor, which is nice during the Kolkata summers. We usually have a light on even during the day because the building next door blocks some of the sun. We drink our tea and talk about the current projects without any big corporate speeches. It is a very practical environment. Sometimes a stray cat will sit near the door, and we just let it be. We’ve grown fond of this little spot in Ramgarh over the years. It feels like home in a way. We handle the paperwork, answer the calls, and try to stay on top of everything. When the day is over, we pull down the shutters and head out, usually saying hello to the neighbors on our way.
