Eli Lilly Company India Pvt Ltd has an office at South City in Gurgaon. We are specifically located in Block A1, Flat 01. It is a ground floor flat that we’ve converted into our working space. It’s a bit different from the high-rise offices you see all over Gurgaon, but we like it this way. It feels a lot more grounded and less like a maze. We have a few rooms dedicated to different tasks, mostly related to managing documents and local communications. The kitchen in the flat still works, so we make our own coffee and eat our meals there. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly calm during the day compared to the city center. We’ve got a small patch of garden outside the window, though we don't always have time to look at it. There are usually about four or five of us here at any time. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. If someone knocks, one of us just goes to the door. It’s a very informal atmosphere, but we still get a lot of work done. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in this city. It’s a simple, honest way to run an office without all the extra corporate fluff.
