Our office is located at 7/1a Hazra Road, on the second floor. Hazra Road is one of those places that is always buzzing with energy. Being on the 2nd floor gives us a bit of a view of the daily chaos down below. We handle export operations, so there’s a lot of back and forth with the shipping agents. The office has several rooms but they are all filled with desks and papers. We’ve got some old fans that rattle a bit, but they keep the air moving. It’s a private limited company but we run it like a small family shop. Everyone does a bit of everything. One minute you are typing an invoice and the next you are helping load a truck. We don’t have any marketing people or anyone like that. We just do our work and hope the clients are happy with the goods. The building itself is quite old and has that specific smell of old paper and concrete. We have a small area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon break. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don’t put on any acts here. If you come by, you’ll just see us working through the stacks of orders and talking about the latest shipping rates over tea. It is just how we have done things for a long time and we stay busy.
