Eastern Infrabuildcon Llp is right in the middle of the chaos at 55, Ezra Street. We are down in Room No 20 in the basement of the AC Market. If you have ever been to the 700001 area of Kolkata, you know how crowded and loud it is. It is a hub for everything, and being in the basement means we don't hear as much of the street noise, which is a relief. We deal with infrastructure projects, which is a fancy way of saying we work on the big stuff like roads and large buildings. The office is often full of rolled-up blueprints and coffee cups. It’s not the most stylish place, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people in the market. Since we are in such a central location, we end up seeing all sorts of people. The air conditioning in the market is a lifesaver during the humid months. We started this company because we wanted to be in the heart of the city's trade. It’s not always smooth sailing, and the logistics of moving materials through these narrow streets can be a nightmare. We just take it as it comes. It's a lot of grit and staying late to get the paperwork done after the market clears out. We are just a group of people trying to build something useful and make things work through the daily grind.
