Dulichand Champalal Textiles Private Limited

We’ve been working out of this space at 12/2 Sovaram Bysack Street for a good while now. It’s on the first floor, right in the thick of the Kolkata textile district. It isn’t the quietest place to work, especially with all the noise from the street below, but it’s where we get things done. Dulichand Champalal Textiles is basically just us handling fabric orders and making sure the stock is where it needs to be. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, and we’re often dodging rolls of cloth being moved around. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or a big waiting room because most people who come here are just looking for their shipments or checking samples. Sometimes the electricity acts up, or the monsoon rain makes the street a bit of a swamp, but we manage to keep the textiles dry and ready. It’s a simple operation, really. We spend most of our day on the phone or checking the ledgers. There’s always a lot of dust from the cotton, which is just part of the job when you’ve been in textiles this long. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay on top of the daily grind in 700007. We’re usually here from morning until late evening, just keeping the cycles going.
