Down here at 13 Rajendra Mullick Street in Kolkata, things are always moving. Our office is right in the thick of it. We spend a lot of our time managing security schedules and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. It is an old part of the city, so the building has that classic Kolkata feel to it. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit difficult, especially when we are trying to coordinate shifts for the guards. We have a big whiteboard where we keep track of everything, though half the time someone loses the marker. It is a practical business. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around talking about big ideas because there is always a phone ringing or someone coming in with a question about their post. Dealing with security means you have to be ready for things to change at the last minute. We have a small crew here in the office who handles the admin side of things. It can get a bit loud with the traffic outside, but we are used to it by now. We just try to make sure our clients feel like things are under control. No one here is wearing a suit and tie unless they absolutely have to for a meeting. We are just regular people working a regular job in a busy part of town. It’s mostly about keeping the logs updated and checking the rosters.
