We have the basic stuff we need to run things, and that’s about it. Most of our days are spent coordinating with different crews and making sure we have enough materials for the next day. Being builders means we are often out of the office more than we are in it, though. You’ll usually find us at a site somewhere, checking on how the walls are coming along. We don’t go for the high-pressure sales stuff. We just talk to people about what they need and see if we can get it done for them. The street outside is always noisy, which is just part of living and working in Kolkata. Sometimes we have to deal with delays or things not going exactly to plan, because that’s just how construction goes. We try to handle it as it comes. It’s mostly about managing the people and the materials so that something useful gets made. We don't have a flashy mission statement, just a bunch of guys working on buildings and trying to stay on top of the paperwork from our 1st floor spot.
