You can find us over in Santoshpur, specifically on the ground floor at 70 Lake East 6th Road. It’s a residential sort of area, which we actually like quite a bit. It feels more like a community than a cold business district. We started Deeshari Projects Private Limited because we wanted to do something locally. The office is right there on the street level, so it’s easy for people to just walk in and say hello. We don’t have any of those glass-walled boardrooms or receptionists in suits. It’s usually just a couple of us sitting around desks, drinking tea and looking at project files. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites, making sure things are moving along. There’s always a bit of dust or some papers lying around because we’re actually working. We don't see the point in pretending to be something we're not. We are just a local group trying to build things right. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but that's just part of the job. Santoshpur has a nice feel to it, and being near the lake makes the walks to lunch a bit better. We handle our projects step by step. No shortcuts, just the usual daily grind. It’s been our home for a while and we plan to stay. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have seen our signs around the neighborhood.
