Deepak Exim Pvt. Ltd. is located over at 12 Pollack Street. We are on the first floor, in room number 11. It’s a handy spot because we don’t have to climb too many stairs when the lift is acting up, which happens more often than I’d like to admit. The room is a decent size, though it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples coming in. We spend most of our time dealing with international trade documents. It sounds complicated, but once you do it for years, it’s just another daily task. The walls are painted an off-white color that’s starting to peel a little in the corners. We don't mind. We aren't here to look fancy; we’re here to work. There’s a big table in the middle where we spread out all the maps and schedules. My uncle started this kind of work years ago, and we just kept it going. Pollack Street is always busy, so there’s a nice energy outside our window. We try to stay organized, but sometimes things get messy when multiple shipments arrive at the same time. We just take it one day at a time. If someone visits, they usually just sit on the stool by the door while we finish up a call. It’s a simple life here in the office, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
