We are located at 24 Elliot Lane here in Kolkata, zip code 700016. It is a bit of a tight street sometimes especially when the delivery trucks try to squeeze through in the mornings but we are used to it by now. At Dbs Cholamandalam we mostly just keep our heads down and get through the daily paperwork that piles up on the desks. Our office space isn't like those big glass buildings you see in the movies. It is more of a practical place with old wooden furniture and some dusty fans that have seen better days. The neighborhood is pretty lively though. You can hear the sounds of the city coming through the windows all afternoon long. Most people around here know where we are if they need to drop off something or ask a quick question about their files. We have been sitting at this address for quite a bit of time so the walls have some scuffs and the floor is worn down in the spots where we walk the most. Working at Dbs Cholamandalam means dealing with a lot of regular folks from around the lane. We try to keep things simple because that is just how we are. It gets really hot in the summer months so we keep the windows open but then the dust comes in. It is just a normal day-to-day life for us here at 24 Elliot Lane.
