Our office is at 11, Government Place East. If you know the area, you know it’s filled with history and those grand old buildings that make you feel small. We’ve been at this address for a very long time, and the place definitely shows its age, but in a good way. The ceilings are high, and the windows are large, letting in a lot of light during the day. It’s a very formal-looking street, but inside our office, things are much more relaxed. We have old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have probably been here since the company started. There’s a certain rhythm to how we work here. We deal with a lot of paperwork and agency matters, so there’s always a lot of writing and stamping going on. We don't use much fancy technology if we can help it; the old ways still seem to work best for us. The staff is like a small family. Most of us have known each other for years and years. We take our tea breaks together and talk about things other than work. It’s not a high-pressure environment where everyone is stressed out. We just take things as they come and try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door. It’s a quiet, steady kind of existence here at Number 11. We appreciate the old brickwork and the history of this specific part of town.
