Creative Film Campus

Creative Film Campus is tucked away in a corner of Kolkata. This city has always been about stories and movies, so it felt right to set up something here. We don’t have a massive studio like the ones you see on TV, but we have enough equipment and space to get things moving. It’s usually a bit noisy around here with students or young filmmakers arguing about lighting or how a scene should look. We started this place because we wanted a spot where people could actually touch a camera without needing a huge budget. Kolkata’s humidity sometimes plays tricks on the gear, so we spend a lot of time cleaning lenses. It's a bit of a lived-in space. There are posters peeling off the walls and old scripts piled up in the corners. We aren't trying to be the next big film school with a thousand rules. It’s more about just doing the work and seeing what happens on the screen. People stop by at odd hours. Sometimes we’re here until midnight editing something that should have been finished days ago. That’s just the way the film life goes, I guess. We like the grit of the city and how it shows up in the projects people make here. It’s not a polished environment, but it’s real. We just provide the tools and the roof, and the rest is up to whoever walks through the door.
