Our office is right at 143, Bidhan Sarani. We are near the Hati Bagan Crossing in Kolkata, which is a very iconic and busy part of the city. Core Careers is a small firm that’s been here for quite a while. The building is older, like many in this part of town, so it has a lot of character. We are on the Kol-6 side of the street. It’s always crowded outside with people shopping and trams passing by. Inside, we have a few rooms filled with desks and old files. We help people with their career paths and jobs. It’s a lot of interviewing and talking. Sometimes the noise from the crossing drifts in through the windows, but we don't mind. We don't have a modern glass office; it’s more about being in the heart of the city. We drink a lot of tea while we look over applications. The staff here has been around for years, so we know how things work. We don't use fancy software to pick candidates; we just talk to them and see what they're like. It’s a more personal way of doing things. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we can't help someone, we tell them. It’s a busy life here at Hati Bagan, but we enjoy being part of the hustle and bustle. There’s no big corporate polish here, just us and our work.
