We are based at Be-35 in Shantipally, which is in the Kol - 107 area. It’s a part of the city that has grown a lot, and there are many offices around here now. Convergys India Services Pvt.Ltd is a place where the lights almost never go out. We have people working in shifts because the service work we do doesn't really follow a normal nine-to-five schedule. The office is filled with rows of computers and people wearing headsets. It can get quite noisy with everyone talking to customers at the same time, but we’ve all gotten used to the hum of the room. We don't have any expensive art on the walls or designer furniture. It’s a practical space meant for getting work done. We have a small break area where people sit and eat their tiffin or have a quick coffee. Shantipally is a decent enough location for us because it’s easy for the staff to reach by bus or auto. We just focus on answering the calls and fixing whatever problems come our way. Some of us have been working here for years and we’ve seen a lot of people come and go. It’s a steady environment where we just stick to the tasks at hand. We aren't trying to be the most modern company in Kolkata, we just want to make sure the work is finished properly every single day.
