Out here on Raja Santosh Road in Alipore, things feel a bit different than the rest of Kolkata. It’s a bit quieter, which helps when you’re trying to focus on consulting work. Cognition Consultants has been operating from 42/20 for a while now. The building has some character to it, like many places in this part of town. We spend a lot of our time sitting around desks, drinking too much tea, and going over data or whatever project is on the table that week. It’s not always exciting stuff, but it keeps us busy and the days go by fast. Kolkata has this way of slowing you down, especially when it rains, and our office isn't immune to that. We might start a bit later than we planned if the streets are flooded, but the work always gets finished eventually. We don't have a big PR team writing stuff for us, so this is just how it is. We help businesses figure things out. Sometimes it's complicated and sometimes it's pretty straightforward. Being in Alipore means we get a nice mix of people coming through. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just a group of consultants who know our way around the local scene and try to be useful to the folks who hire us. The fans hum in the background while we work, and that’s pretty much the daily soundtrack for us here.
