If you are looking for Chakraborty Associates, we are on the ground floor of the building at 3/25 Seth Bagan Road in Kolkata. We share the space with Gopal Shaw’s place, so it can get a bit crowded near the entrance sometimes. Kolkata is always loud and busy, and Seth Bagan Road is no different with the rickshaws and people walking by all day. Our office is a simple place where we keep our records and meet with people who need our help. There is a ceiling fan that clicks a bit when it's on high, but it helps with the heat. We don't have a receptionist or any fancy gadgets, just a few of us working on whatever needs doing. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the files to worry about that right now. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day and the table usually has a few rings from the cups. Working on the ground floor means we see everything that happens on the street, which can be a bit distracting but it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We’ve been here for a good while and the neighbors know us by name. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do, and it suits us just fine. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just get to work.
