Our place is at Flat-4B on the 4th floor of 5 Gurusaday Road. It’s a pretty central part of Kolkata, zip code 700019. Being in a residential flat instead of a big, cold office tower makes the whole thing feel a bit more relaxed for us. CHAITANYA ONE PROJECTS LLP is the name on the door, though most people just know us by name. We handle different types of building and project work from here. It’s mostly just a few of us and our computers. We have a lot of maps and site photos pinned to the walls to keep track of everything. The street outside is usually very busy with traffic and honking, but it’s a lot quieter once you get up to the 4th floor. We spend our days going through project files and talking to people on the phone. It’s not very glamorous work, to be honest. We don't have any big mission statements or visions. We just want to get the buildings finished and move on to the next project. Sometimes we have people come by to talk about their plans, and we just sit around the main table with some tea. It’s a simple setup and we like it. We’ve been here for a while and we know the neighborhood and the local shops pretty well. We don't really do much in the way of marketing, we just work and try to stay on schedule.
