Centre For Advanced Engineering

We are tucked away in Block C of Bangur Avenue, at number 59/2. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve got our setup here for the engineering stuff we do. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. Most of the rooms are filled with old books, drawings, and some equipment we use for our work. It’s not a shiny new lab or anything like that. It feels more like a workshop where people actually get their hands dirty. We have students and professionals coming in at different times. Some days it’s very quiet and other days it’s a bit of a squeeze to fit everyone in. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the gate. Most people find us because someone told them about us. We don't spend money on brochures or flyers. We just talk to the people who come in and show them what we are working on. The furniture is a bit old, and the fans squeak sometimes, but it’s a good place to learn and think. We aren't trying to be a big university. We just want to share what we know about engineering in a way that makes sense to people. It’s a bit messy sometimes with papers everywhere, but that’s how we work best. We stay late most evenings just tinkering with things and talking through different problems. It is a quiet street, which helps when we need to focus on complex calculations.
