Careerconnect-India.Com is run out of a place on Sarat Pally Road in the Santoshpur area of Mahestala, Kolkata. We are located C/O Mrs. B Sarkar at J3-127/42. It is a residential neighborhood, so it is not the kind of place you would expect to find a website-based business, but it works perfectly for us. Being in Mahestala means we are away from the main city chaos, though the commute can still be a bit of a trek for some of us. The office is essentially a few rooms filled with computers and a lot of printed resumes. We help people find jobs and help companies find workers, so there is always someone on the phone or typing away at an email. It is a bit of a family atmosphere here since we are in a residential building. We often share snacks and talk about what is happening on Sarat Pally Road. The internet can be a bit temperamental sometimes, especially when it rains hard, but we have backups for that. We do not have a big fancy sign outside, just the address and our work. It is a very down-to-earth setup where we just focus on connecting people with the right roles. We have been doing this from this location for a while and we like the quiet routine of the neighborhood. It is just a small group of us trying to make things work.
