We are based at 18 1D DPP Road in Naktala, Kolkata. If you are looking for us, we are in the office associated with Mr. S Chakraborty. It is a classic Kolkata neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of old buildings around. We work for Capgemini India Ltd from this location, and the atmosphere is quite different from what you might expect of a big company. It is more personal here. The office is usually humming with the sound of fans and the tap-tap-tap of people typing away. We do not have much in the way of fancy furniture; it is all very functional and a bit lived-in. There are stacks of files on the shelves and everyone has their own little corner set up with photos or personal mugs. The heat in Kolkata can be pretty intense, so we usually have the windows shut and the cooling going full blast. During the lunch break, most of us wander out to get some local food or just a quick tea from the stall nearby. It is a very grounded place to work. We do not really do the whole corporate polish thing. We just focus on getting our tasks finished and making sure the clients are happy with what we deliver. It is a bit crowded sometimes, and the road outside can be a mess during the rains, but we have made this place our own over the years. It works well for us.
