Calcutta Film School Private Limited

You can find Calcutta Film School Private Limited on the second floor of 45 Shakespeare Sarani. It is a well-known street in Kolkata and we have been in this building for quite a while. Our school is not some massive movie studio with a gate. It is more of a place where we gather to talk about films and how to actually make them. We have some cameras tucked away in the back rooms and a few spots for editing. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes with all the gear and cables lying around on the floor. The light in the late afternoon comes through the windows pretty nicely. We spend a lot of time just working through different projects. It is not always glamorous work. A lot of it is just sitting around and figuring out how to get a specific shot to look right. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow, so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor. We do not have a big reception desk with a formal person waiting. Usually, you will just find one of us drinking tea and looking at a script or a monitor. We like it this way because it feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. People come in, they work on their films, and we help out where we can. It is just a practical spot.
