You can find us at Shop No. 1 to 12. It’s a bit of a long stretch of space, but it works for what we do at Unichem Overseas Pvt. Ltd. Being in a shop-style setup means we are right there on the ground level, which makes it much easier when we have deliveries coming in or going out. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a lobby with a fountain. It’s mostly just shelves, desks, and a lot of packaging materials. The lighting in the back isn't the best, but we know where everything is. We deal with overseas stuff, so there’s a lot of talk about shipping containers and port schedules. Some days are slow, but most of the time we are scurrying around trying to meet a deadline. It's a practical way to run a business. We see the same faces every day, the delivery drivers and the postman, and we’ve built a decent rapport with everyone in the complex. It’s not the sort of place you’d see in a magazine about modern offices. We have calendars on the walls with notes scribbled all over them and a small stove in the corner for making tea. It’s just how we operate. We like being accessible and having enough room in shops 1 through 12 to actually move around and get the work done without tripping over each other or making things more complicated than they need to be.
