We’re tucked away in Room No. 3 of Janki Mansion, at 77/1 B Park Street. It’s a famous street in Kolkata, but our office is pretty low-key compared to the shops outside. BKJ INFRASTRUCTURES LLP is mostly about the groundwork. We deal with infrastructure, which means a lot of planning for roads, bridges, and basic systems. Being in the 700016 area is handy because we’re central to a lot of the projects we oversee. The office is small and usually filled with blueprints and old coffee cups. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you when you walk in. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us hunched over a table looking at maps or talking on our mobiles. Park Street is always loud with traffic, but once you get inside Janki Mansion, it gets a bit quieter. We spend a lot of our time out in the field, checking on how things are being built. Infrastructure isn't fast work. It takes time and a lot of patience from everyone involved. Sometimes things get delayed because of the rain or permit issues, and we just have to deal with it. We’re a practical bunch. We don't use corporate jargon or try to sound more important than we are. We just want to make sure the stuff we build is solid and stays that way for a long time. It’s a tough business, but we’ve been doing it for years now.
