Biswas Engineering Works

Down on P-50/10 Benaras Road in Belgachia, you will find Biswas Engineering Works. It is a workshop, so expect a lot of noise and the smell of oil. We have been here for a good while, and the building shows its age, but it is sturdy enough for the machines we run. Most of our days are spent at the benches, fixing things or cutting metal to size. It is hard work and your hands are rarely clean. The floor is concrete and usually has a few metal shavings scattered around. We do not have a big sign out front, just the address and the name. Benaras Road is always busy with traffic, so we hear the trucks going by all day long. Inside, it is just me and a couple of helpers. We do not use much fancy software; we mostly rely on what we have learned by doing the work for years. Some of the machines are older than I am, but they still work just fine if you know how to handle them. We take in all sorts of repair jobs from people around Belgachia. There is no lobby to wait in, just a corner where you can stand while we take a look at what you brought in. We just focus on getting the engineering part right so the parts fit like they should. It is a simple life, mostly spent under the hum of the overhead fans.
