Our office is located at 39 Kali Krishna Tagore Street, right in the heart of Kolkata. It's an older part of town with a lot of character and those typical narrow streets that get crowded in the afternoons. We focus on land and homes, basically trying to help people find a place where they can settle down. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the neighborhoods and the local streets pretty well. It’s not a glamorous job at all. It mostly involves a lot of walking around and talking to different people about property lines or legal papers that need signing. We keep things pretty simple inside the office. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a small plot or just to chat about how the local market is moving lately. The traffic outside can get really loud, especially with the rickshaws and trucks, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone doing fancy ads. Word usually gets around by word of mouth from people we've worked with before. We just try to be honest about what’s available and what isn't a good deal. Sometimes a deal takes a really long time to close because of all the government checks needed, but we don't like to rush things. It’s always better to get it right the first time than to have a big headache later on. Our desks are usually covered in documents and old tea cups.
