Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited

This is the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited office over in Behala, right on Raja Rammohan Roy Road at 52 B. We've been part of this Kolkata neighborhood for a long time, and most people around here know exactly where to find us. It’s a typical government office setup, nothing too fancy, with plenty of files and desks where we handle the daily grind of telephone and internet stuff. Working in Behala means we see a lot of the same faces coming in to pay bills or ask about their connections. It gets pretty loud during the day with the traffic outside and people talking in the lobby. We try to keep things moving, though sometimes the systems take their time. My colleagues and I have worked here through many monsoons and heatwaves. We know the local lines and the poles that always give trouble when it rains. It’s not a shiny corporate tower; it’s a functional building that has seen a lot of years. Sometimes the fans creak, and the tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for many of us. We are just here to keep the phones working for the families and shops in this part of town. If you’re coming from the main road, we are easy to spot. We handle the paperwork, the complaints, and the new requests that come across our desks every morning. It’s just how we do things here in Kolkata.
