Our place is at 36/1A Elgin Road. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, and we’ve been here for a while now. Bhagwati Infrapromoters Llp is really just a group of us who work on property and infrastructure projects around the city. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk into our office, you’re likely to see a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and probably some blueprints pinned to the wall. We spend a lot of time arguing over project details or talking to contractors on our cell phones. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit every day. Most of us are more comfortable in old shirts and trousers, ready to head out to a site if something goes wrong. We’ve had plenty of moments where things didn't go as planned, like when the rain starts and everything has to stop. But we just keep going. We don’t have a big marketing team telling us what to say. We just tell people the truth about how long a job will take and what it’s going to cost. It’s a practical approach to building things. We like being on Elgin Road because it’s central and everyone knows where it is. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but it feels like the heart of the city. We’re just here doing the work, day in and day out. It’s good to stay busy.
