Bengal Exports

Our office is on the top floor of 60 Lenin Sarani, right in the Dharamtolla area. Being up high means we get a bit of a breeze if we open the windows, but we can still hear all the horns honking down on the street. It is a very busy part of the city to work in, but it’s where all the action is. We are an export house. Most of our work involves a lot of paperwork. You wouldn't believe how many forms you need just to send one box out of the country these days. We spend hours making sure everything is stamped and signed properly. We have a small team and the office is usually filled with the sound of typing and people talking on their phones. We don't have any expensive furniture or anything. It’s just a place to get the job done. We export various things depending on what our customers need at the time. It requires a lot of coordination with the shipping lines and the customs agents at the docks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, but that is just part of living in Kolkata. We don't make any grand claims about being the best. We just try to work hard and not make too many mistakes that cost us time. It is a practical business. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay organized. That is really all there is to it.
