Aluminium Enterprise

You can find us over on Beadon Street at number 17/1. It's one of those spots where you can hear the trams and the general noise of the city from the moment we open the shutters. We deal with aluminium here, mostly the sections and frames that people need for their houses or small shops. Our shop isn't very big, but we manage to fit a lot of stock inside if we stack it right. We spend most of the day measuring things out and cutting them to size for customers. It gets a bit loud when the saws are going, but we don't mind it much. We see a lot of local contractors and people from the neighborhood coming in with measurements written on old envelopes. We try to help them find what they need without making a big deal out of it. The floor is usually covered in little metal shavings by the time evening rolls around, so we have to sweep up every single day. It’s a very straightforward kind of life. We don’t have a website or anyone doing marketing for us. It’s just us and the metal. We’ve known some of our regulars for twenty years. They stop by for a cup of tea even if they don't need to buy anything that day. The building is old and the door gets stuck when it’s humid, but we like it here. It's just honest work that we know how to do well.
