Bddr Associate

If you go to 29 A Kali Krishna Tegore Road in Kolkata, you will find Bddr Associate. This is a very old part of the city, near the busy markets and narrow lanes that Kolkata is famous for. The building we are in has been around for a long time, so it has those high ceilings and thick walls that keep it somewhat cool, even when the humidity is high outside. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, which is common for this area. Our office is filled with old wooden desks and stacks of registers. There is a lot of history in the streets around us, and you can hear the trams and the shouting of the porters from the nearby wholesale shops. We don't have any modern glass partitions or fancy carpets. It’s just a place where we sit and work on our associate tasks. The dust from the street always seems to find its way in, no matter how much we clean. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day, usually ordered from the stall just down the road. It’s a busy, somewhat chaotic environment, but we are used to it. Bddr Associate is just a small part of this massive, moving city. We focus on our daily ledgers and client files without making much of a fuss. It’s a very traditional way of working in a place that hasn't changed much in decades. We usually close up when the street lights come on.
