Our place is on the 4th floor of Himanshu Apartment, which is at 5 Bipin Pal Road. It’s right near Desh Priya Park in Kolkata. It’s a nice area, actually. You can hear the trams and the traffic from down below, but being on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a breeze sometimes. We don't have an elevator that always works, so we get our exercise walking up the stairs every morning. The office is just a few rooms with big windows that look out over the street. We handle the Balmer Lawrie Co Ltd work for this section of the city. We have stacks of files because we still like to keep things on paper alongside the computer records. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Kolkata is a city that doesn't like to rush, and we are the same way. We take our time to make sure the accounts are right and every entry is checked twice. We have our tea breaks where we discuss the local news or the scores from the night before. There is no corporate polish here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the desks are a bit scratched up. But we have been here for years and we know the business inside out. If you drop by, we might offer you a biscuit and some tea while we finish up the tallies for the day. It is just a normal office.
