Our office is located at 17/1, Lansdowne Terrace, up on the second floor. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We focus on construction work under the name BADRINATH NIRMAN PRIVATE LIMITED. The building doesn't have an elevator, so we get our exercise climbing the stairs every day. Once you get to the second floor, it’s just a standard office setup. We have a few rooms where we keep all the records and the equipment lists. It’s not very modern, but it suits what we do. We spend a lot of time looking over contracts and talking to site supervisors. The light in the office is actually quite nice in the mornings. We have some old calendars on the walls and a water cooler that makes a loud gulping sound. We don't have a PR person or a marketing team. We just do the work and let the buildings speak for themselves. Most of our day is spent making sure the materials arrive on time and the workers know what the plan is for the day. It’s a lot of small details that have to come together. Sometimes we get frustrated with the bureaucracy, but we keep at it. It’s a local business run by people who know the area well. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized. The phone rings a lot, usually about delivery delays, but we handle it as it comes.
