Our office is tucked away on the 4th floor of 25 R N Mukherjee Road, specifically in Suite F. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always crowded with people heading to various offices and shops. Bacalar Nirman Llp has been here for a while, and the 4th floor gives us a bit of a break from the street noise below. The lift is old and sometimes it’s faster just to take the stairs, even if it leaves you a bit out of breath. Inside, it is mostly just a lot of drawings and site reports scattered around. We spend a lot of time on our phones or coordinating with people on different sites. It’s not the quietest office, especially when a few of us are trying to figure out a problem with a project timeline. We keep things pretty simple here. There aren't any fancy decorations, just the essentials we need to do our jobs. R N Mukherjee Road is a central spot, which helps when we have to go out and meet someone or pick up supplies nearby. We grab lunch from the stalls downstairs most days because the food is quick and decent. It’s a regular workspace where we put in the hours and try to keep everything on track. Sometimes things go smoothly, and other days we are just catching up with a backlog of emails and site visits that never seem to end.
