Axis Bank

Our place is at 25 B Peary Mohan Ray Road in the Chetla area of Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of character. The building we are in has been around for quite some time. As an Axis Bank branch, we fit into the neighborhood as best as we can. The streets around here are narrow and always full of life. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. We have the counters and the chairs for people to sit while they wait. We aren't interested in being a high-end corporate office. We just want to be a place where people can get their banking sorted. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from working. We know the local shopkeepers and the families who live nearby. It’s that kind of place. We have tea in the afternoons and talk about what’s happening in West Bengal. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things, even when we are busy. We don't use scripted lines or pretend to be perfect. If there's a problem, we just sit down and try to fix it. That’s the way we’ve always done it here in Chetla. It feels right for this location and for the people we see every day.
