We are located at 207/1 Harrison Road, which most people call Mahatma Gandhi Road these days. It’s right in the heart of Kolkata, so it is always loud outside with horns and people. AVYAAN NIRMAN PRIVATE LIMITED has been in this building for a while now. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear the trams rattling past the window, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We deal with construction projects all over the city. Our office is usually filled with rolled-up maps and half-empty coffee cups. It’s not a polished corporate space at all. We have a few old desks and some chairs that have seen better days. We don’t really care much for the fancy stuff anyway. What matters is getting the work done. A lot of our day is spent on the phone or out at different sites checking on progress. It’s a lot of coordination between different people. Sometimes the materials don't show up on time or the workers are stuck in traffic, but we figure it out eventually. We aren't here to give anyone a sales pitch. We just take the jobs that come our way and try to finish them without too much trouble. It’s a busy life on MG Road, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We’re just a group of people who know how to build things in a crowded city.
