ASYR CONSTRUCTIONS LLP operates out of Room No. 36 on the second floor of P-36, India Exchange Place. A lot of people still call it William Carey Sarani, so we usually have to tell them both names so they do not get lost. It is a very old part of Kolkata with a lot of history in every building. We focus on construction projects across the city. The office is usually stacked with rolls of drawings and notes from various job sites. It is a bit cramped, but it works for what we need. Construction is a tough business because you are always at the mercy of the elements and the supply chains. We’ve had our fair share of delays over the years, but you learn to deal with them as they come. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the work we do is solid. Most of our time is spent coordinating with the guys on the ground. We have a lot of respect for the people who actually do the heavy lifting. Our role is just to make sure everything stays on track as much as possible. It is a lot of practical, everyday problem-solving that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We find that being honest about timelines is better than making up stories to sound more professional.
