This is a family-run kind of thing, started by Mr. Suku Manna, and now Miss Sutapa Manna handles a lot of the day-to-day operations here. We are located in Khalore village, which is part of the Bagnan area in Howrah. Being in West Bengal, we deal with a lot of humidity and local logistics, but we make it work. Our engineering office isn’t in a big city skyscraper; it is right here in the village where we grew up. We handle various engineering projects for people around the district and even further out in the state. People around Bagnan know the Manna family, so they just come to the house or the office when they have a project in mind. It is a very personal way of doing business. We do not use big words or try to act like we are something we aren’t. We just take the drawings, look at the site, and get the engineering done. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow out here in the village, so we do a lot of things on paper still. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it is reliable and it is how we have always done it. We care about the work because our name is attached to it, and in a small place like Khalore, your reputation is everything. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the people who come to us get what they need for their construction or repair jobs.
