If you ever find yourself on V I P Road in Kolkata, you might pass by Poddar Vihar without thinking much about it. That is where we are tucked away at A03. It’s a lively part of the city, always filled with the sounds of horns and people moving about in a hurry. We handle the corporate services side of things for the group from this office. It isn't a massive space, but it’s full of files and computers that never seem to stop humming. Most days, it’s just us drinking chai and getting through the pile of paperwork that comes with being a private limited setup. The walls are a bit plain and maybe could use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. You get used to the rhythm of the traffic outside the window. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is fine until the Kolkata humidity really hits you. We’ve been at this address for a bit now, and even the local tea stall guy knows exactly how we like our drinks in the afternoon. It’s a practical space without any bells or whistles. We deal with the background stuff that keeps the bigger wheels of the company turning. No one here wears fancy suits unless there is an important meeting. It feels more like a small community than a cold office.
