Our office is over on G. C. Avenue, right in the heart of the 700013 area. If you’ve ever tried to park a scooter around here, you know it’s a bit of a nightmare. We are AnuroDH Developers LLP and we spend most of our time dealing with the nitty-gritty of building stuff. It’s not always pretty. There are piles of files everywhere and the computer monitors are a bit dusty. We spend our mornings talking to laborers and the afternoons trying to sort out permits. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes things go wrong at a site and we have to scramble to fix it. That is just how it is in this business. We are not some big corporate entity with a polished lobby. Our space is functional and maybe a little cramped when everyone is in at the same time. We’ve been in Kolkata long enough to know how the monsoon can mess up a schedule. We try to plan for it, but nature has its own ideas. It’s just us here, working through the lists and making sure the walls go up straight. We drink a lot of coffee and talk about the latest prices for steel and cement. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We like being part of this neighborhood even with all the noise. It is a lot of effort but we enjoy the daily work.
