Being on the fourth floor means we are slightly removed from the direct noise of the street, but you can still hear the city humming. The office is just a simple Room 02 where we manage our developing projects. It is a lot of sitting around the table and trying to figure out schedules and budgets. We don't have any fancy signs or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. We spend most of our time dealing with the government offices nearby for permits and paperwork. West Bengal has a lot of rules for building things, so we stay pretty busy with all the filing. The room is filled with stacks of files and a few computers that have seen better days. We like being in this part of town because it is easy for people to find us, even if the building itself is a bit old. Most days are just a cycle of making tea, answering the phone, and looking over blueprints. We are a small team and we prefer it that way. It is just about getting the projects finished without any unnecessary complications or loud talking.
