You can find us on the second floor of 15 Gangadhar Babu Lane. It’s a narrow lane, like many others in this part of Kolkata, so you have to be careful when you're driving down it or even walking. Ampisa Exports has been operating from this building for a while now. We handle various export tasks. The stairs to the second floor keep us fit since we’re up and down them all day long. The office is pretty basic. We’ve got our wooden desks, some old filing cabinets, and the usual office stuff scattered around. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have the ceiling fans on high to keep the air moving. Most of our work involves coordinating with people and making sure the export documents are in proper order. There’s a lot of back and forth with the customs agents and the shipping lines. It's not the kind of place with a big sign or a fancy entrance. We just focus on getting the work done. The neighborhood is full of other small businesses, so there’s always people moving about and shouting. We usually grab a bite from the local food stalls nearby during our short break. It’s a busy environment, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We just try to stay on top of the logistics and make sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s a lot of daily routine, but it keeps the business going. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving goods.
