Amluckie Investment Limited

Our office is tucked away at 29 Prasanna Kumar Tagore Street in Kolkata. It’s an old neighborhood with a lot of character and we like being here. Amluckie Investment Limited is basically a small team of us sitting around desks dealing with money matters and paperwork. It isn't a high-pressure stock floor like you see in movies. Most of the time it’s actually pretty quiet, just the sound of typing and the ceiling fan going. We deal with investments and all the boring forms that come with them. People come in to talk about their savings or ask where they should put their spare cash. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets and reading news updates. The street outside is always full of life, which is a nice contrast to the serious stuff we do inside. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or a marble lobby. It’s just a practical space where we can focus. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. We’ve been at this address for a bit and the locals know where to find us. We don't spend much on advertising because the work usually speaks for itself. It’s about being steady and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. If the door is open, someone is usually there working on a file.
