We are located on the ground floor at 87/2 Raja S. C. Mullick Road in Kolkata. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially with all the buses and rickshaws going past the door. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don't have to carry heavy boxes of paper up any stairs. We handle reprographics, which basically means a lot of printing and scanning. The machines take up quite a bit of space, and there’s always that distinct smell of ink and warm paper in the air. It’s not a fancy office at all. We have some old wooden shelves where we keep everything, and the floor is just plain tiles. When the rains come, we have to be careful about the humidity so the paper doesn't get ruined. We’ve got a small group of people working here, and we’ve known each other for a long time. Usually, there’s a radio playing somewhere in the back, and we take our tea breaks whenever the work slows down for a minute. The building itself is an older West Bengal style structure, so it stays relatively cool even when it’s baking outside. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the daily work for people who need things printed or copied. If you’re walking down Mullick Road, you can probably hear the hum of our printers from the sidewalk. It’s just a normal day at the shop.
