We run AMBERDEB CONSTRUCTION LLP out of our place at 41/1/1 Joy Narayan Banerjee Lane. It’s a bit tucked away in a corner of Kolkata with the 700036 postcode, but it’s where we feel most at home. Our office isn't anything special to look at from the street. It’s just a regular building where we keep our tools, maps, and all the files for the construction work we do. We’ve got a small group of people working here who know the local area like the back of their hands. We don’t use any fancy management buzzwords or talk about global strategies. Instead, we spend our time talking to suppliers and checking on how our local projects are moving along. Some days we are buried under piles of invoices, and other days we’re out in the sun at a site. It’s the kind of work that keeps you busy from morning until late evening. The lane can get quite crowded with people and bikes, but that’s just part of the charm of working in this part of the city. We don’t have a big glossy brochure or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just find one of us drinking tea and looking over a blueprint or talking to a contractor. We started this because we know how to build things, and we’ve stuck with it because we enjoy the practical side of construction. It’s just us doing our best with every project.
