AL JAWED'S EXPORT PRIVATE LIMITED

We are based over on S.A. Farooque Road at R-110A. If you know the area, it's pretty packed with businesses and people moving around all day long. We do export work here at Al Jawed's. It's mostly about organizing the goods and getting all the paperwork sorted for the containers. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit and work. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and various warehouses. Kolkata is a big hub for this kind of trade, so there is always some task waiting to be finished. The monsoon rains can slow things down on our street sometimes when the water builds up, but we try to keep things moving as much as we can. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. Most of our neighbors are also in trade or have small shops, so it feels like a working area. It’s a practical location for us. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or any of those modern things. Just some desks, a few computers, and a lot of paper files in cabinets. We focus on the daily tasks of getting shipments ready for the port. Lunch is usually quick because there's always some deadline or a driver waiting. It can get pretty loud outside with the horns and the street vendors, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We just try to get the orders right and out the door on time. It’s a simple operation, really. Just a group of us working hard.
