We’ve been at 35 Suburban School Road for a while now. It’s on the first floor. It gets a bit noisy with the school nearby, but you get used to it after a week or two. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to people about shipping. Kolkata is a busy place for this kind of work, so there's always something to do. We mostly just keep our heads down and get the boxes out. It's not a fancy setup, just a regular office where we handle the export side of things. Sometimes the traffic on the road makes it hard for the trucks to do pickups, but we manage somehow. My desk is usually piled with forms and bills most of the week. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first started here. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep if you're carrying heavy stuff, so we try to be careful. We usually have tea in the afternoon while checking the shipping manifests one last time. It’s steady work and nothing too exciting happens. It's just the usual back and forth with logistics and making sure the addresses are written right on the labels. We’ve got a small team here. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails throughout the day to different agents. The heat in Kolkata during the summer can be tough in this building, but we keep the fans going at full speed. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. No big bells or whistles, just AKH Exports working out of this old building.
