We work out of 63 Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road here in Kolkata. This building has seen a lot of people come and go, but we have been set up here for a good while now. Our focus is mainly on housing and the various development projects that come along with it. It is a lot of back and forth with different departments and making sure all the documents are in order. The office is fairly quiet in the mornings, but by midday, things pick up and it can get a bit hectic. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just the standard work of getting buildings planned and finished. There are stacks of files in the corners and the printers are usually running. We walk out to the main road for a break every now and then just to clear our heads. The neighborhood is full of old buildings and new shops, so there is always a mix of sights and sounds. We don't spend much on decorating the office because we are usually too busy focusing on the sites we are managing. It's a small team here and everyone knows their job. We don't have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, do the work that needs to be done, and head home when the sun goes down. It's a decent way to make a living and we like being part of the local scene in this part of Kolkata. It keeps us busy and connected.
