A. K. Chatterjee

A. K. Chatterjee has been operating out of this spot at 419/E on Diamond Harbor Road for quite a long time. If you know this part of the city, you know how the traffic can get. It is always noisy outside with the buses and cars rushing past, but inside we just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. We aren’t really the type of people to talk ourselves up much. We have a routine that we follow every day, starting early before the heat gets too bad. The office is a bit old-fashioned, but it has everything we need to handle the daily tasks. We deal with a lot of different people coming through the door, and we try to treat everyone the same way. It’s a practical way of working that has stuck with us over the years. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult out on the road, but we usually stay busy regardless. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there, we just want to make sure the jobs we take on are finished properly. Most of our days are spent checking figures or talking on the phone to suppliers. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. We like the neighborhood, even with the constant hum of the traffic right on our doorstep. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get deliveries, but we make it work somehow.
