Our business is situated on Sangli Road in Yadrav-Kolhapur. We operate out of the Jijamata Warehouse, specifically units 474/11 and 12. It is a big space, which is necessary because textiles take up a lot of room. Working in a warehouse means you are always dealing with the elements. It’s cold in the mornings and can get quite stuffy by noon. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. The R. K. Nagar area is quite industrial, so we have a lot of neighbors doing similar work. We handle the textiles as they come in from the mills. There is a lot of lifting and moving involved. We don't have fancy furniture or a decorated lobby. It’s just concrete floors and stacks of goods. The guys here are used to the hard work. We keep a log of everything that enters and exits the warehouse. Kolhapur is a good place for this kind of business because of the transport links. We just try to stay organized so we don't lose track of anything. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out. It’s part of the life here. We aren't trying to do anything flashy, just moving the cloth from one place to another as needed.
